What was it like getting to know students in the village?

Meeting the people of Lambaye has changed the whole way I view life. Upon arriving at the learning center a young girl approached me and asked “are you happy to live in America?”, I responded “yes” then asked “are you happy to live in Lambaye?”, she smiled and said “I am as happy as I could ever be”. During my time in Lambaye I never saw one kid who was not genuinely happy, it made me realize how little we need to be truly happy. They deserve the world and I want to give it to them. This trip was an experience of a lifetime and will forever have a special place in my heart.
