What was surprising to you about visiting Senegal

Going into Senegal I had no idea what to expect. I was so nervous for it all. But as soon as we stepped out of the airport on to our bus I knew that it was going to be special. The things that I learned on that trip will carry with me through life. The smiles we brought people and the smiles they brought us were magical. Every single person on that trip was pushed to their limits and forced to grow as individuals. I can speak for all of us when I say we all came out a different, better version of ourselves.
