One of the questions I was asked most frequently by the people in Lambye was "Are you happy?" I would answer saying "Yes, are you?" And every student I talked to in the village replied with "Yes, very happy." I have never encountered so many genuinely happy kids. It's amazing to me to see all these smiley children light up with joy when receiving something as simple as a cookie. These kids really opened my eyes to see how such a small thing in my life is so relevant to all the Student in Senegal. I want to do everything I can to make their lives even happier.
