What most surprised you about your time in Senegal

Meeting the people in Lambaye has changed my life. They are the most kind and loving people I have ever met and they made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived to the moment I left. It was such an amazing experience to connect with the people there because even know we didn't speak a common language we found different ways to connect and communicate and it was so special. The memories I made in the Lambaye will last a lifetime. Going to Lamabaye has changed my perspective on life, everyone there was so happy despite the situation they were in and that taught me that you don't need everything to be happy in life.
